* YOUR daily dose of CAFFEINE

Went out with Syl last night.

It was a good dinner.

We started to talk about future and plans, and that made us wonder how time flies.

'I can't imagine it. The scene about us stressing and praying about our first year is so vivid in my head.'

And here, right now, we are talking about job options.

'And you are still single.' I added.

She smiled: ' And you have a few romantic accidents'

I shrugged. Shit happens.

She looks prettier with her long hair. Since I knew her for 6 years, she always kept short messy hair. It's funny to see that she is brimming with her long lustrous silky hair now compared to my black wake-up-style short hair.. And I am shrinking in size.

She used to be my best friend.

Since L came into my life, she backed off. We have a rough time sorting things out, but when she tried to salvage the broken friendship, I left the scene.

We do meet up at times and talked about almost everything. But things are not the same again.

Before I got out the car, she asked why do I decide to leave NZ.

We eyed each other, and smiled. Having living overseas for almost a decade now, we are lonely souls. It tastes better to live and work with the ppl from your same culture and ethnic background. Few people can digest and understand that. Somethings are meant to be untold, but the message conveyed is crystal-clear.

My path I choose will be totally different than hers, and I hope our paths will cross again in the future.

' Be a better lady, spiritually and morally.'

We laughed.

' You are always that up front and straight forward. That pisses me off.'

I replied and we hugged.

I do cherish the moments that we have, and to me, you will always be special.

My sophomore years were fantastic because of you.

MANY THANKS.
