Valentine’s Day
What’s the fuss about Valentine’s Day? I don’t get it.
…Several doctors kept smiling sheepishly to themselves this morning.. ( I wonder what kind of pictures they paint in the busy minds of theirs, let alone the fact that they are working in Emergency Department today)…
……………..Act cute girls lining up in a bee line holding bouquets of over-priced roses and soft toys …waving at any cars who happened to pass by.
Act cute girl ( in a supposedly adorable voice): EEEEEEE….xian sheng xian sheng, mai yi duo hua gei ni de air en ( Mr, buy a rose for your valentine).
Mr. A ( whose valentine is beside him): Er….*looking at his woman, who is staring expectantly at him with a honey-dripping smile*..O…K. ( what else can the poor guy do)
and paid RM 50 while trying hard not to flinch at the unduly astronomical price. Act cute girl happily passed the half-dead rose to the satisfied woman ( I suppose that the rose symbolizes the short life span of their love ) and discreetly gleeful about her overwhelming achievement of sales.
STUPID is what I called.
I hate Valentine’s Day. Not that I am pain-stakingly lonely ( Not~!) or I don’t receive any gifs ( .HA!), Valentine’s Day sounds to me like the day when the couple should treat each other like queens/kings ( and not the rest of the days), just because it is…..the day whoever has set it to be the Lovers’ Day.
Personally, I enslave him everyday because that’s what a queen should do.
