I bumped into one of my friend's friend's but not really a friend's 'make-over' photos and acquired the shock of my life. Totally missed the boat! How will the ang mo style make up look good on a truly Asian face? GEEZ. .
I suffered from PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) as one of the after maths of having 'make over' photo shoots from XXXXX bridal shop in Kuching about 3-4 years ago. One word:
S-H-O-C-K-I-N-G.Ha!
My sister and I ignorantly paid a few hundred bucks just to get
the experience. To start with, the photographer (from West Malaysia) is absurdly cocky and arrogant. He started saying all the bad things about your look, your features and was like: my photos will definitely make you look better in a I-am-God-sent tone
. YEAH RIGHT.The make up artist is ....shockingly bad. She was like PAINTING on my face, literally painting. Foundation that is one tone darker than my skin, very harsh eye brows (CRAYON SIN-ZHANG type), light blue eye shadows that made my eyes looked very small and puffy, and bright red lipstick!! OH GOD. Thailand whore.
Mr. Cocky then asked us to pose. Stupid poses. Guess what. Those very typical historical poses like...having a fan in front of you blowing so that your hair looked '
长发飘逸'. Luckily he didn't ask me to gaze up as the multiple colourful balloons gracefully 'float' down... YOU GET THE PICTURE.
My sis and I stood there staring at the pictures with our jaws dropped wide. The lady looked shocked. She kept looking back and forth at those pictures and us again, utterly confused. Of course, we were not going to admit that those two ugly psychotic ladies in the photos were us.
We had such a hard time choosing 10 best photos out of 50. Honestly, all we wanted to do was burnt those photos and pretending that this was just a bad dream after all.
Anyway, what's wrong with those make up artists??? They should go and get a degree or something in Taiwan.
Those bloody pictures...Humiliation of my life.
I don't trust them anymore.
I will get my bridal photos done in TAIWAN man.
